PORTALES, N.M. — Eastern New Mexico University Athletic Director Dr. Greg Waggoner has announced that Jeremy Buurma, Courtney Lawson and Jordyn Cooper have been chosen as the Academic Greyhounds of the Year. Buurma represented the men's teams, while Lawson and Cooper tied for the right to represent the women's programs. "We congratulate these student-athletes on being selected to receive this prestigious honor. As the new athletic director, I did not have the pleasure to watch them compete or know them personally, but I know of their reputation in my short time here," said Waggoner. "They represent the best of Greyhound athletics in all dimensions."
